Guitar Hero 3...

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

So I got Guitar Hero 3 for PC without closely readin' the box... my fault. At any rate, I came to find out that it does not support XP x64... as a matter of fact, it won't even allow me to run the installer it to even try to get it work.

And if you look at the requirements for the game... they're insane. The hardware they require (dual core, etc, etc) is damn near pointless without a 64-bit OS. At any rate, I'm temporarily using the 32-bit version of XP. I was wondering if I can safely do a dual-boot of the 32-bit and 64-bit, or if I can run some sort of an emulator in the 64-bit version to force the game to install. Haha. Or if I should just wait for them to come out with a patch (which they probably never will).

EDIT: Or should I just do a dual boot with Windows XP x64 and Vista x86?

Hi!

I belive dual boot XP 64 / Vista x86 is the best way.

I ended up going with Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit and am actually really happy with it. I got an insane price on it and figured I couldn't mist out on it. I've had no problem with Vista at all, just MusicBrainz Picard crashing on me every now-and-then.
