Comodo have finally released the long time delayed final v.3 of their free firewall.
This is the first free fw, that supports both Vista 32 and 64 bit + XP 32 and XP 64.
I have been using the beta of this firewall for a while, And it have been good to me.
So, if you have Vista or 64 bit XP, and have'nt found a good, free firewall yet?
Look no further:

Edit.
I would like to add that a good setting for this fw is the "Stealth port wizard".
This is how you set it up:
You open up the firewall by double-clicking on the white icon in your sys tray.
After that click on the "firewall" tab.
By "firewall tasks" make sure you select "advanced", then click "network security policy", then open the tab "global rules".
If you created any custom rules here, write them down, if you haven't created any custom rules at all, just delete all the rules mentioned here. (Make the list completely empty).
After that click "Apply"
When you did that, make sure that, by "firewall tasks" you select "common tasks".
On this page click "stealth ports wizard"
This will open up a wizard in which you can select how the firewall should behave. I.e the one you want to use is "block all incoming connections - stealth my ports to anyone". (or something similar).
After that your Internet connection will still work but you are completely invisible from anyone. Reboot your PC is very recommended to apply all the rules. Finished.

I'm so glad this is finally out. I had been waiting for it to come out (didn't know that there was a beta available).
Thanks so much for posting this!

I'm very pleased this is out too. The previous version, v. 2.4 whas a bit senile, when it came to remembering the rules. So it could be kind of naggy about wich programs you did allow or not. Even if you told the fw multiple times, that a certain program whas allowed.
And I also had serious problems playing BF 2 for ex. As the fw did'nt let it connect to the game server. Even if you manually did add the game and the punk buster to the "trusted applications".
I ended up using the Windows fw while playing on line games. Wich made me kind of nervous. As we all know, the Windows XP fw is'nt the best one you can run.
No such problems with v.3 though.
I just saw, that Comodo have released a beta of their upcoming antivirus too.
I will test it and see how it works?
You're welcome.
