Let's say I wanted a laptop...

And the primary purpose of this laptop was strictly for work/school.
Also, let's say the most important specs, to me, were...
1 - Low Cost
2 - Weight
3 - Battery Life
4 - Memory
5 - Processing Power
And let's saying I wanted to spend no more than 550 USD.
What would be a good laptop that fits most of these specs? And remember, it's solely for work/school, so there's no need for a powerful CPU or GPU, but maybe a need for some nice amount of RAM.
Oh and don't bother telling me the Asus Eee, that's a little TOO small for my tastes.
