Considering an inexpensive upgrade.

I'm thinking of upgrading my machine sometime within the next 1 - 3 months, depending on what's releasing when. From what I can tell, there's only three parts I should really concern myself with: the CPU, the GPU, the PSU. Now don't get me wrong, they all work fine and well as is, but I could use a little more power (who couldn't?). So here's what I'm thinking. I do one or a combo of the following...

- Get the AMD Athlon X2 5000+ Black Edition - OC's to 3.2 GHz easily and would consume about as much power as my X2 3800+. Plus, with the unlocked multiplier I can tweak the frequency without going through so much trouble of tweaking my RAM to work.

- Get the next generation of mid-level graphics, like the ATI 3850 or Nvidia 9600GT - This would be my preferred option as I could use a nice graphics boost. The 3850 looks very tempting right now as it seems to bring major bang for buck, but I want to see what the 9600GT does too and that should be releasing fairly soon.

- Upgrade to a 500 - 600W PSU - This is really only for if I need it. I think even for next-gen technology, my 450W should be able to handle what I throw at it if I'm careful, but still...

So that's my thoughts. Yours?

Yeah, seems like a sound reasoning to me.

Here is a good, and nice priced 600W. With lot's of juice on the +12V rails:
