Hi guys,
i am having a problem with wiress networking,
basically there are 4 computers in the house, 2 pc 2 laptops, and one computer is wired the rest are wireless, for somereason when ever one of the laptops (with vista) connects to the network the other pc (with xp) can no longer connect at all.
I was wondering if anyone could have any idea how? is the laptop forcing the computer off? i have looked on the router settings and cannot find anything. The router is a E Tech Wireless Broadband NAT Router,
The laptop that forces the pc off is with Vista Home Premium, all of the other computers are Xp.
Thanks for any help
and if you need more info just say..wasnt sure what to put

Sounds like same IP address problem

The vista software may be conflicting with the older xp software.
Some routers come with connectivity limits, so check those and see.

Some of the reviews on the egg talk about routers that have problems with Vista Boxes. I do agree that it sounds like an IP address conflict. How about anti-virus installed? I know a box on my network with norton causes master browser conflicts with the server. Maybe Vista is more aggressive w/ master browser requests? The router is getting its antenna twisted with tcp/ip settings? Can you list your /ipconfig on the xp machines and the vista box? Are they in the same workgroup/domain? Give me some network connections / properties info.
