nero turns computer off when burning dvd?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hi There
I've been using nero seven to burn movies on to dvd and the last two times I attempted to do this it would burn the movie for a period of time and I would leave it and then when I come back in the room a short while later the computer has switched itself off. It is only doing that when I burn a dvd?
Any clues anyone? It was working ok before and just started to play up now.
I have wndows xp professional version 2002. service pack 2. Pentium 4CPU, 3.40GH'z, 3.41 GHz 1000gb RAM
Cheers gwendoline

Hi there, thankyou for your reply
I've tried several times to do it and it shuts down every time. I did a google search and someone said it could be an overheating CPU but I can hear the fan going ok so don't think it is that. I am baffled. It was working fine before.
Kindest regards From Gwendoline

and watch it when you burn a disk

Thanks Shady soldier for all you help. I will do that . I downloaded another programme for burning discs called convertXtodvd and I was able to burn to disc withought the computer turning off. I will still check the temp though as the disc seemed very hot when I took it out.
Cheers from gwendoline
