Hi!

My friend wants to know how to switch his ram to video memory on a laptop.
si their just a setting in the bios? and if so is that all you have to do?

Does he have a video chip with "turbo cashe " (shared memory?) or what do you mean?

Video setting in BIOS/ flash bios to newest revision. Check adapter properties when you right click on desktop and look for nvidia or ati control panels. Also, investigate guru3d for tweaked drivers to enhance performance. It's all you can do. Some laptops will use a propietary expansion card for video but most of them are built into the motherboard. If you check manufacturer site and manual should be able to figure out if its an expansion card. Maybe e-bay has something that will upgrade.
