(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hello all! Today, I recently started getting random BLUESCREEN of death.. I would play a game, minimize sound loops then the BLUE SCREEN...I was confused...Well, I restarted found out the sound didnt work anymore..?? Re-installed the sound drivers.. Now i'm getting a weird red light comming from my video card. It's just a solid red light. Is this due from overheating or anything?? Its not overclocked the current temperature is 39c. What does this red light mean?? When I restarts it goes away... when i idle the computer it goes away.. when i load up any application it comes back!! ahhhh HELP ME PLEASE OTS!! thanks

Probably could have titles this thread "Amsterdamian audio visuals" although some people might have thought you were talking about something else. Have you tried pulling out the sound/vid cards and blowing the dust off of them? Inserting them back firmly in their pci and agp homes?

yes, i removed and blew the dust, off of them and it's just the video card issue now..

any clues from the BSOD? usually if there's a .dll mentioned googling will turn up the fix. Never hurts to use a driver cleaner and reinstall a driver (guru3d). Make sure any vga cooling fans still spin (if any). Otherwise? let it run a memtest overnight. You can try BIOS flash as well.

Whats the BSOD state? the tech and the other info is says

Yeah, would be good to know the BSOD error code.

Also download ATITool ( works for Geforce cards too). And run the "artifact test" for an hour.

If you get glimmering dots in the test picture = artifacts?

Then, your card is overheating.
