A Question for Those of You Who Know Digital Cameras

I am debating make a purchase of either a Canon SD870IS or a SD950IS. I have read the reviews and did my research, and the 12.1 megapixels of SD950IS is pure marketing scheme, for today's digital cameras it is unnecessary to go more than 7 megapixels. However SD950IS is only 40 dollars more than the 870IS. One review that I read actually recommended people to get the 870IS for the over all lower noise level. I have looked at the sample picture from both cameras, both of them have substantial noise from ISO 200 or up. Another advantage of 870IS is the 28mm wide angle zoom. So yeah I am pretty much stuck and don't know which one to get, and I would like your opinions. Thanks.

Have you gone to ---cnet.com---they are pretty good on reviews,and they do review both of these cams,and will let you compare.----good luck
