Yorkfield based Core 2 Quads??

Intel released a Core 2 Extreme chip based on Yorkfield (quad core penryn) late last year. Originally they were supposed to release lower end (ie, cheaper) chips based on Yorkfield in January, under the name Core 2 Quad. These were delayed until March 15.
The chips in question are the Core 2 Quad Q9300, Q9450, and Q9550, at 2.5ghz, 2.66ghz, and 2.83ghz respectively. March 15 has passed, but I can't find these chips anywhere, nor an announcement that they were delayed again. Newegg does not list them yet, not even for preorder. And, more interestingly, TigerDirect listed the Q9300 for a few days, but it now says this item is no longer available. Not out of stock, but no longer available.
Has Intel decided to hold off because even the current Kentsfield based Core 2 Quads are better than any of AMDs phenoms? Whats the deal? Has anyone heard anything about the status of these chips?
Thanks.

Hmm im pretty sure we are thinking of the same chip but, The P quads were garbage and ran really hot. They are not to be found any where but ebay.

I dont think we are tallking about the same chip actually. I have never heard of a P quad, what is it? Could you give a link to some info about it or a link to one on ebay? Anyway, I was talking about the Intel Core 2 Quads. There are currently 2.4ghz and 2.6ghz Core 2 Quads with Kentsfield cores. Intel was supposed to release 3 new Core 2 Quads, with Yorkfield cores (Penryn), on March 15, but I can't find them.

The Q9300, Q9450 and Q9550 I believe are the chips you're looking for.
According to Wiki, the Q9300 and Q9550 are supposed to be on sale by now because both were released on March 15. The Q9450 though doesn't show a release date. I've heard of some online vendors having the Q9300 or Q9450, but I forget which ones exactly and if they still have them.
I'd say your best bet is to just try as many online vendors as you can think of. Here's the ones I know of.

Yeah, if you look at my original post the Core 2 Quad Q9300, Q9450, and Q9550 (at 2.5ghz, 2.66ghz, and 2.83ghz) are the chips I am looking for. So they were actually released on March 15 then? Certainly no one has been making a big deal about them, offering preorders or anything like that.
The thing is, I wonder why websites, newegg in particular, are not listing them. If they are out of stock, they should at least list them and just say out of stock. Newegg listed the Wolfdale Core 2 Duos (E8200, E8400) from the day they were released, and even allowed you to preorder before they were released.
Anyway, Im still curious what these P quads shadysoldier was talking about are.
