Memory Timings Appear Higher Than Should Be??

Hi All,
Just getting my new System up n running here, downloaded latest Cpuz to find that the Memory Timings are not producing what I want.
Memory is Crucial Ballistix Tracer 4-4-4-12 2T
Cpuz shows: 5-5-5-18 2T
Is thier something I should be setting in my BIOS or in my Ntune Control Panel?...sorry I'm a rookie when it comes to this.

Needs to be set to those timings in your BIOS. Would also be a good idea to set each value one at a time and then stress test the memory to make sure its stable after you've changed it. I'm not sure how you'd change the values on an EVGA mobo as I don't know what kind of BIOS it uses and how the menus work, but I'm sure you can google some kind of tutorial or something.
Also, for stress testing memory, google a program called MemTest.

Thanks..seems I've been down this road before, but a very long time ago!! Goranpa helped me out then I think! Anyhow, I went into BIOS changed the Setting from 5-5-5-18 (its what was set on Auto)...rebooted...and froze at the Welcome to XP Window.
The initial Voltage for Memory was set at Auto 1.85V.
I read this Memory, Crucial Ballistix Tracer with 4-4-4-12 runs at 2.2V. So, I changed the Memory Voltage from 1.85 to 2.2V...Boots up fine.
Cpuz now reflects the correct Timings for this particular Memory.
Had a look at MemTest, but not a clue on how to run it....does it sound like I did the right thing here?
Anyhow, if I don't run Memtest what other signs should I look for as "problematic". Figure the 780i Board supports this particular brand of RAM, should be able to run it at the DIMM Manufactorers Timings.
Thoughts?

You run memtest like this:
1. As you have a higher amount than 1 gig of RAM. You need to open 2 memtest windows. And divide the amount of RAM equal between those 2 windows. Let one start a couple of seconds ahead. Also, let memtest run for 2 full cycles = 200%.
2. Before testing. Shut down as many programs as possible.

Do what Goranpaa said, and also I'd lower the voltage a tad just to be on the safe side and extend your RAM's life. Try 2.1V and see if that works, then try 2.0V. 2.1V is generally the max you do for DDR2 RAM I think.

Thanks guys, ran Memtest in 2 different Windows, split my available Memory in half, ran for 300%, 3 cycles, no errors.
Also, FYI, with Prime 95 I get a Core Temp of 54 C (using Core Temp)....stock coolers on my E8400. Dropped to 42 C when stopping Prime95
Would like to try and OC my E8400 (a tad, 3.2 to start and maybe 3.4) so:
Alright, bearing in mind that I have only a Stock Cooler on my E8400, I would like to experiment and see if I can get to 3.2, 3.4 in those steps.
Firstly ( I have my Evga Nforce 780i Manual out), in order to bump up my FSB speed I have to change the FSB - Mempry Clock Mode from Auto to:
A) Linked or
B) Unlinked ? Which would you suggest? (I'm happy with my Memory @ 800 Mhz (for now)
Now I can bump up my FSB speed correct (FSB /4 x CPU Multiplier (presently set to"9") = my new CPU Clock speed - correct?
Would it be safe to bump up my FSB speed from 1333 to 1444 /4 x Multiplier "9" = 3.2 Ghz?
The only things I have changed so far are my Memory Timings from 5-5-5-18 to 4-4-4-12 and changed the Memory Voltage from 1.85v to 2.05v, prior to changing the Memory Voltage my Rig would not boot up into windows. I did set it at 2.2v, but have since backed it off to 2.05v and things seem ok. @ the advise of previous Post.
I also bumped up my Mutiplier to 9X from 7x , as this is supposed to be the correct Setting for E8400 on 780i (7x was set in Auto I guess)
Temps showing @ idle on Nvidia Monitor are:
CPU: 34 C System: 30 C GPU: 54 C @ idle
Also, C1E Enhanced Halt stae is "Enabled"
