ddr2 ram for puter

i need to buy a new desktop and want a barebones, but use the ram i have on hand, which are ddr2 533 mhz. puter i want to buy calls for ddr2 666 mhz ram cards. will my 533 work in slots for 666mhz? i cant get puter seller to answer this question. thanks

"Puter" doesn't tell me a whole lot my friend. The "puter" that you want, what Brand / Model # of Motherboard is it?
Also, what OS are you planning on running, XP or Vist?

Persoanlly, I would stick to using the recommended Memory for the "puters" Motherboard, this may save you some grief!

Memory is cheap cheap cheap right now!!!!
