HDCP Problem(PS3/viewsonic moniter)

Well i got screwed pretty hard when I bought a 1080p device a year ago with DVI support and no HDCP support, 22' viewsonic 2025vm. Lovely moniter really. Problem is now my Ps3 won't connect to it. I am using a Converter to go from HDMI(M) to DVI (F) and then just running a DVI cord (that I know is good, use it for my main Computer) to the moniter. I go into the PS3 and click to ask it to switch to HDMI port, and nothing, black screen(has a signal) but nothing on it. Now I know that there are a million and one different posts on the internet about the PS3 Not working with non HDCP compliant moniters. I was wondering if there are any good cheap HDCP strippers out there? I am on a bit of a budget...and a 140 doller HD Fury is a little out of my reach....I mean at that point I might as well buy a new monitor.
