VIA 4-in-1 drivers - v4.36a

VIA Arena has an update to an updated driver which seems to address the problems people are having with the nVidia 23.11 drivers. The 4.36 4 in 1 driver apperantly did not fix all of them. Here's a description of the new driver:

The new 4.36 drivers contain a silent installation of a patch which adjusts a memory setting in BIOS on some VIA Apollo chipsets to ensure stability with the latest video drivers under all Windows Operating Systems. This patch has received an update, to support further chipsets and is available now for download.

Degrading memory performance to make a driver work doesn't seem to be much of a fix to me. It seems like a better option to stick with the VIA 4 in 1 4.34 or 4.35 drivers and keep the 21.83 WHQL nVidia drivers.

If you decide you want to keep the 23.11 drivers installed, the latest VIA update might help your stability. People have been reporting performance decreases from the "memory adjustment" so beware.

You can download this driver from below if you wish to try it.
