Intel Loses Patent-Infringement Suit

Seems like everyone is in litigation these days! The only ones that truly benefit from this is the lawyers.

A jury has ruled against Intel in a $82 million patent infringement suit against rival chip-maker Broadcom Corp. The case involved two patents related to networking and video processing. The jury found one patent to be valid but not infringed upon by Broadcom, and the other to be invalid. Over the past two years, Broadcom and Intel have filed four patent and trade-secret actions against each other; 3 additional Intel patent claims against Broadcom are expected to go to trial next year.
