Safenet Buys Securealink

Safenet is an internet security company based in Baltimore, and Securealink is a company which makes security chips for e-commerce and virtual private network solution. Here's some details on Safenet's purchase of Securealink:

SafeNet Chief Financial Officer Carole Argo said in a conference call with analysts that SafeNet would purchase Securelink's outstanding shares for 575,000 shares of SafeNet common stock, $2 million in cash and a three-year, $2 million dollar note. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter next year, Argo said, adding that Securealink will become a SafeNet subsidiary.
