AMD Introduces 1GHz Mobile Duron

AMD revealed their 1GHz Mobile Duron today. Here's a snip taken from AMD's Press Release:

SUNNYVALE, CA -- December 17, 2001 --AMD today demonstrates its performance leadership for mainstream notebook PC computing with the introduction of the 1GHz mobile AMD Duron™ processor. Featuring AMD PowerNow!™ technology, AMD’s leading dynamic power management tool, the mobile AMD Duron processor can significantly extend battery life without compromising performance.

Compaq Computer Corporation is immediately offering its Compaq 700 series notebooks powered by the 1GHz mobile AMD Duron processor.

Seems like laptops are starting to gain momentum as far as power. Are there any AMD Laptops that have the Nvidia Mobile GPU's? I might give my girlfriend my laptop and get a new one. She uses it more than I do because of her Job.

Theoretically there should be, but I have yet to actually see one.

Which is good, cause I told myself I'd finally buy a laptop when I could get an AMD 1ghz and a GF2go in the same package

Yeah that's why I upgraded my main system instead. I'd rather have a laptop as a second machine. Space is a valueable commodity.
