ok well heres my problem its too do with Starcraft Brood War but i also think its to do with other games aswell.
Basicly ill load up Starcraft brood war and id click "Multiplayer" and ill connect. It connects fine and i can talk in the chat rooms with no problems at all except when i join a game. i can join them fine but when the game starts i can play in the game for like say 20 seconds then the game just shuts itself down its like someone has ALT + TAB and right clicked on it and said close. It also does this with other games including non Blizzard Related ones. ill save u the hastle of someone saying "try reinstalling it" ive done that over 10 times but still get the same problem would anyone plz be able to help????

What are the specs of your PC?

What kind of programs do you have in startup?

Are you running a virus scanner while playing?

yes, system specs are needed. but that is a symptom of a shortage of ram. if thats it, either you dont have enough, or some other program is using it.

For some reason i get a error when running the specs it sez soming wrong with software or somin like that

I have 512 Meg of ram which i have tested and it said it was ok but im still suspicious and will take one stick at a time out to see if i can isolate the problem.

It may not only be the RAM problem, but may also be your video card drivers and the video card itself. I have the exact same problem, when I play SC either online or single, SC sometimes crashes and suddenly disappears from the screen. I had 32 MB RAM and decided to get another 128 Mb to c if that changed anything.

Nope, except that when it crashes, it happens faster than before. My video card is a Trident 9750 with 4MB. I might want to get another card with more VRAM to see if that would solve the problem. But I need some outside advice first. The salespeople at Futureshop isn't going to tell you not to buy a video card now are they.

4m on a video card? no wonder its crashing.

Hehe, that confirms it, new video card for me.
