While Microsoft issued a patch to cure a glaring hole in their new XP operating system (just one month ago hailed as "the most secure Windows OS ever"), the FBI has taken it one step further by recommending that users completely disable the "plug and play" features in the OS, according to this Associated Press story.

Consumers and corporations using Microsoft Corp.'s new Windows XP (news - web sites) software are being warned by the FBI (news - web sites) to take added steps against hackers who might try to take advantage of major flaws.
