There has to be a way to do this.
Lets say for winamp. Instead of it running int he tasksbar section, i want it to apear as a small icon next to the clock, likce the ICQ flower, or the windows volume control.

I've read somewhere how to do it, but i can't seem to find the site anymore.

Any ideas?

It's in the winamp preferences.

Get into Options->Winamp Preferences. Then under "Options" click "Display". Its down at the bottom.

You have 4 options:

Taskbar Only
System Tray Only
Taskbar and System Tray
None

You can also take your pick between 12 different Sys Tray icons.

Well i know about winamp, but theres a way to do it with any program, even if it doesn't have the option to do it.

Maybe with the help of some other program, but not using just windows.

If you look in your Windows 98 Cd ROM, under resource kit. They have a utility that allows you to do just that, plus alotta other useful tools too. Just go into your Windows 98 Cd and under something like Resourse kit. Install Microsoft Management Console and you have a list of programs that are available and sorted into the alphabet. Look for something called quiktray and take it from there.
