My CD Key for D2 LOD Has Been Deactivated. Can someone tell me why they would do it?

When i tryed to log onto Battle Net the other day i got a message saying that my cd key has been deactivated. can someone tell me why they would do this and how i can fix it?

it means one of two things: a) you or someone using that key has been acting against the eula. or b) the person owning that key has traded it in for another one.
there is a third possiblility, that it was a server glitch.

I agree, his account was reported for abuse of the Terms of Service.
I was going to point him to Blizzard's message on this error, but I can't connect to the website.
