My best and worst of 2001

Top 3 games:
1. Serious Sam (not awe inspiring but non-stop action)
2. Aliens vs. Predator 2
3. Diablo 2 Expansion (Was still disappointing)
Worst game:
Pool of Radiance Ruins of Myth Drannor. (This game is up for the worst game of the decade too.)
Best Hardware Purchase:
Asus V8200 GeForce 3
Worst Hardware Purchase:
Belkin Nostromo n50 Speedpad. It's so close to being a keyboard replacement but it just doesn't quite get there. Very easily could be disigned even better.
One thing for sure is, this year totally sucked for PC Gaming.
2002 Prediction:
Dungeon Seige will be the sleeper hit of 2002. Neverwinter Nights will be the most disappointing.

Top 3 PC games:
1. Max Payne
2. ZSnes v1.337
3. (not putting anything here).
Max Payne is the only true PC game I can say was a good game that came out this year. ZSnes version 1.337 is so close to perfect that it definitely deserves a spot. Those guys are awesome to get a snes emulated so damn good. Wish they sold it so I could buy it.
Worst Game:
Tribes 2. Never before has a game had so much potential, yet fallen so short. I would have loved it, if only they'd have fixed it.
Best Hardware purchase:
Plextor 16x10x40 CD-RW. Coupled with my athlon, this thing rips a full cd to mp3 in about 3 minutes. Not to mention burning a full cd in 5.
2002 Predictions:
Morrowind is going to be the best game no one plays. Neverwinter nights will be the biggest let down in PC RPG history. Deus Ex 2 will revolutionize gaming late in the year.
And Duke Nukem Forever will finally be released, and wow everyone. It won't be the best looking game ever, but it's gonna be fun like Duke 3d was.

worst purchase: hmmm garbage can that the wheels froze and snapped during the first week of freezing weather
my predictions for 2002: Unless u got an Xbox or Ps2 or gamecube dont expect much from the gaming world. PC games will continue to suck with the possible noted exception of masters of orion3 and jedi knight2 but i really dont like to put sequels on lists of things that rock.
The Sim community will see a few better flight sims and MS wll continue to dominate the flight market. The minimum requirements for games will finally rise to 700mhzP3 level and by the first part of 2003 we will start seeing good PC games again since game companies will start losing lots of money and finally realize that gameplay is what counts.
I also predict that Warcraft3 will go over about as well as warcraft2BNE did with the american consumer and be a huge hit in and asia. Worlds of Warcraft will launch and inside 3 months blizzard will have to suspend their monthly fee while they figure out how everyone is duping and cheating. end of september blizzard willl announce a new game to be announced at E3 and it will turn out to be worlds of starcraft MMORPG when everyone wanted either starcraft2 or starcraftFPS.
Asherons call will fade out while UO and EQ will continue to enjoy record success.
AMD will still be relying on third party vendors to make chipsets and AMD users will still be dloading 4in1 drivers to fix problems with hardware interface. with the possible exception of the NVIDIA entry into the chipset world if this happens for real we may see the first good chipset and MB for the AMD CPU.
basically more of the same from the PC world for the next year.

Predictions:
Warcraft III will sell very well (No-brainer). The Sims and its expansions and other Sim games developed by Maxis will continue to be top sellers.

1. Empire Earth

1. Warlords Battlecry (it plain sucked)
2. Deathtrack racing (not as good as the original first title. Guess its true about what they say about sequels.
Best hardware purchase this year:
1) Nokia 17 inch flat trinitron monitor.
2) Linksys router.
3) Belkin 625VA regulator pro UPS.
Worst hardware purchase this year:
1) Microsoft electronic microscope. (buggy drivers and gimmicky toy)
2) Microsoft Dual Strike game pad. (yeah, it was supposed to make FPS more realistic...good thing I only paid $15 bucks for it...but that was $15 more then I should have).
Predictions for 2002: Bring it on. can't wait to get my hands on dungeon siege and others..if they come though. Lets hope they aren't disappointing.

the name escapes me at the moment

I bought a N64 for $20 with 5 games 4 controllers 2 rumble paks and 2 memory paks (the only bad thing is that its old compared to the new systems out there)

WW3 will sell amazingly, and will be a good game.

Serious Sam, Tekken 4, Thief 2, and Starcraft.
Worst games? Tribes 2 (installed, waited 10 minutes for the map to load on my fairly powerfull CPU, played for five minutes and uninstalled).
2002?
You won't be seeing much of me once deus ex 2 and thief 3 are released, unless of course you try and visit.
I don't know if it'll be out in 2002, but quake 4 is giving me vast hope, Raven hasn't made a single game I didn't enjoy (and quite a few that still impact me to this day) and well of course jedi knight 2.
I predict that the Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2 all fail and sink horribly when George B unveils the DUKE MACHIEN, the premiere platform that has the only port of duke 4ever.

1, Worms World Party (such a cool online game)
Medium:
1, Max Payne (short, hard, but has a strong storyline)
2, Diablo 2 (still playing it, trying to learn as much about it as possable)
3, Serious Sam (action packed, but got bored with it quite quick)
Worst:
1, The Mystery of the Druds (has so much potential, a game with the classic point and click interface, but the storyline was so weak and crappy)
Hardware:
1, Nothing (I can't afford hardware at the moment, but I want to get a GeForce 3)
Best games of all Time:
1, Final Fantasy 8.
2, Final Fantasy 7.
3, Worms World Party.
