What operating system are you using?
Are you using a firewall, gateway or ICS (internet connection sharing?

I got Windows XP PRO. and i get the error message wtih the firewall and with out.

What programs do you have running during startup, or when you are playing the game? Give us the list of apps and we'll see which one is causing the problem...
Also, try and download the latest patch fro StarCraft (if you haven't yet) from our Downloads section and see if it fixes the problem:

Hi. When I bouth SC, I had the same problem. I was wondering if you had installed the shareware version of Starcraft. The SWARE version has some registry files that mies up with the full retail version of Starcraft.

Did you uninstall the demo before you installed the full version? Try uninstalling and reinstalling StarCraft and see if it works...

I was wondering if you tried uninstalling the demo. Even if you did, Battle.net registry information won't leave your system (for some reason). Are you familiar with editing Windows registry?

Still no luck, i am getting pissed now... I play CS fine..why did Blizzard take away connecting though Gamespy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......
