Trojans In Grokster and LimeWire

Symantec has issued a Security Response involving the well-known freeware file sharing programs Grokster and Limewire.
The spyware is installed by default, even if you select it not be installed. Thus, the trojan is born.
The trojan transmits your user ID and the computer's IP address to another site on the internet.
