How do I obtain VBRUN200.DLL for a download file?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Trying to download a file - WinZip says it cannot find VBRUN100.DLL to install it. The requirements for the download calls for VBRUN200.DLL.

How may I obtain this file.

Many thanks

hmm... Aren't you afraid your download is actually a trojan? It sure sounds like it.

WinZip is trying to perform the install because you told it to install the program. It's the program that requires this dll because the program was written in an older version of Visual Basic.

The download sites that carry those programs usually provide links to the dll you will need.

Look here for the VBrun200.dll.

You can find vbrun100.dll, vbrun200.dll and vbrun300.dll there.

Thanks for your quick response. Never occurred to me it may be a Trojan - I'm pretty much a novice. I didn't download it anyway, also didn't download the DLL file.

These things are so confusing to me - oh well, at least I found this forum with people like you to help me out, and is MOST APPRECIATED.
