Starcraft Help!

I need help!
In the middle and sometimes beginning, someone would lag really bad. It would show that time and the player, right? Then when it reached 0:00, I would have to drop the person because thats only thing I can do. But when I drop him, I drop everybody else and saying at the end that I was "Disconnected." But I'm actually connected.
I have DSL, Pacbell, and uses a router.
My computer specs are:- AMD Atlon 1GHz
- nVidia GeForce2 MX-400
- SB Live! Value
- ASUS Motherboard

Ummm.. I dont know... But Im using a Netgear RT314 Router. How do I know if I am connecting to the nearest gateway?

I think DemonBob meant the Battle.net gateway that u connect with. There's only 4 options, US East, US West, Europe and Asia. I hv this problem too. But i was wondering if you had all ur phone filters in the wall jacks where ur telephones are connected. Coz when someone calls or someone uses the phone, the DSL connection *sometimes* gets disrupted even if you remain connected. It's a real bother until i can get more phone filters

Ohhh... I just use a phone filter for the outlet of the connection of the DSL...
Thats maybe why....

Oh yeah, I also use the Gateway closest to me, US West.

I'm not sure if you placed your phone filters in the right place. Do not place a phone filter where your DSL modem goes into the wall jack. The phone filters should be placed between a telephone line from your home telephone and the wall jack where it plugs into. Do this for every phone you have on your line and you should be okay. You don't have to place any phone filters where there are no phones attached.
Sometimes your ISP doesn't give you enough of these filters for every phone/jack combination so ask your ISP for more if you need it.
