dont' delete this grrrr
oh man, biggest rant i've ever had in my life... sorry laggy, profainity is gonna go crazy here,..... damnit son of a bithc, shit isn't censored, damnit grrr i'll resist massive profainity, shit *****, assss!
ok
i'll explain...
i was on my way home from school, crossing route83 on 75th street.... i crossed and a guy in a hyundai was pulling out of the gas station on the corner.... i thought he would pull into the right lane and i was in the left lane so i didn't think anything of it... i went on driving, and i noticed he kept going across the lanes... i slammed on the breaks but i was going to fast to get outta his way... he pulled out of the gas station right into me... i came to a skreeching halt. he bouced off me into the other lane, my hubcap went flying and i thought he crushed in my passenger door panel, slowed down, started to pull over then floored it away, hit and run, the mother ****er sped off. I pulled over along the median(he sorta pushed me into it) and called home to tell my parents( i thought the other driver was pulling over so i decide to call home instead of the cops first), maybe he saw the phone and left because of it. My mom picked up and said "hello?" I was like "yah, i just got in an accident" she was like "oh, are you alright?!?" i was like, "yeah, i'm fine....*i saw the plastic of the mirror on the passenger side was cracked*... ahh ****ing shit, god damnit, son of a *****(this was at my mom on the phone so she didn't have a clue what was going on)", she was like "what what?! are you alright?!" i was like "yeah, that son of a ***** ****edup the car!" she was like "ok, i'll be over there in a minute, where are you", i was like "75th and route 83, i'm across from the amaco" she was like "alright, call the cops, i'll be over in a minute"
so i called the cops, told them the info and they were there in a minute or so, my friend who was coming home from work with me pulled into a parking lot and came over to see if i was alright, the cops came then and they were like "are you alright?, don't move if your not" i was like "i'm fine, that guy hit me!" the rest of the story went that i didn't catch the guys license plate(if he had one, i don't remember seeing one, because seeing one i would remember to make sure of the plates) so the cops couldn't do jackshit, they basically put it, (translated from cop to my language) "well, since you didn't get the plate number, you are pretty much screwed, we aren't gonna bother looking so you aren't gonna ever see the guy again" i looked at the car, started swearing like crazy again, noticed that hubcap was scratched up pretty bad and on the road, the passenger side view mirror was cracked up good, the guy dented under the mirror(on the door panel) with his mirror and left a big paint scrape, and he dented the panel above and to the front of the wheel a little bit.... parents say it will cost $1000-$1500 but the insurance should cover it all....
hrmm, what did i learn from this I hate other drivers even more than i used to, video games do desensitize me cause i didn't think of health at all when i got hit, my first thoughts were, **** is the car alright? not because of fear of parents, but because any little problem with a car will annoy me a lot, and this is much more than little.... i was real close to following the guy, but i wasn't sure if i had a flat or if the panel was off or what, i thought he hit my passenger side door, damage turned out to be much less than ithought at first, the flying hubcap made me think it would be bad... well, i think i did **** up his car pretty bad, he had a small thing, i probably knocked his mirror down, and smashed the whole driver side front bumper area of his car, it hit directly into my wheel....
damn, that camry that i drive is a good car, no probs ever and it took this pretty damn well, held it's ground, other hyundai bounced off
i'm just soo pissed off, i still am, i could have gotten his plates if he had them and busted him, damnit!
well, if i see a smashed up purple hyundai acceent with tan paint scrapes,, i think i'm gonna have to **** it up real good with a hockey stick, something like that , ****ing hit and run bastard. grrr.. i'll draw a picture of what happend in paint or somethign quick
i wish i had a jacked up F-350 to run that guys ass off, i wouldn't have had much damage with a tank! grrrrrr
grrrr well, i told my parents "thanks for not helping me buy a new car last week, cause I was driving yours"
grrrr

god damnit - the road's for regular driving, not fancy driving.

Durn rednecks..speeding off like that.
Chasing isn't a good idea, it usually just ends up with more damage.
I don't think you thought about the car because of video games, but rather money. Money and wealth is so stressed in this world it's usually put before health, safety, and wellbeing. Nothing you can do, Gerb. Shrug it off and move along. If you ever see the guy again, give'm a bird and smile.
Posted by: Gerbilo
bird? can you shoot birds out of cannons? cause that is what i would do
Posted by: Chako
What I find amazing is that the police in your area didn't even do a search? Come on, hit and run is a no no. It is against the law, and they should be doing their jobs.

hey hey hey. Easy on the Birds there big guy..

Hehe, a "bird" is slang for flipping someone off with your middle finger (I thought everyone knew that?).
Throwing actual birds will do the trick too, but I usually can't find any.

grrr. stupid people, bad drivers should um.... something GRRR
Posted by: Airbladus
ah, it all makes sense now. there was something about purchasing someone a pet canary that seemed very non-threatening.

Ditto to what TR said! I am just glad your not in California Gerb, out here we have a term called "road rage", I am sure you have it back there, but it just seems in CA we have it more often! We are just GLAD that our "Hampster" friend is OK! ((hugs))

Hate to tell ya bub, but before I went in to the military I was involved in a hit and run. That guy hit my small toyota coupe and sent me spining in circles and almost in a ditch. When the cops came around 1 hour later all they did was take the report and filed it away. And this was in a small Fla town of Fort Myers near the beach areas. If the involoved parties are not there and no one was hurt I dont think that the cops do much.

hehe, well, its all good now, car is fixed, even the stuff not from the accident(like the dent my sister put in the door cause she is a dolt)

I used to drive a nice little mustang convertable (after my mom decided she was too old and fat to drive it and look like anything but a mid-life crisis waiting to happen).. and when i was 17 a drunk driver sheared off the front end. I say "drunk driver" cuz the guy was doing 60 in a 40 in the WRONG LANE and running a red light on a Friday night.. yet it was a hit-and-run. I dunno how the hell his car ran after taking the front end off of mine..
Anyway, I guess it just goes to show the advantages of old junker steel-frame cars vs. the new fiberglass ones...
PS -- my mom is an insurance agent, and Gerbilo, that's exactly the kind of drawings they do for claims. Ever thought of becoming a State Farm Claims Investigator?
Posted by: AK47
shalome- fiberglass? more like plastic and stira-foam. It blows my mind that my dads old 88 grand marquis had more chrome than any pickup truck you can buy today. Old timers say "they dont build them like they used to". yeah they are right, look at now- pontiac aztec? shit! but joking aside, cars today are safer. yeah, they crumple like the Utah Jazz under pressure, but they are supposed to. That is what saves lives (so they say, and yeah, I guess they are right) I just wish I was alive in the 60s- man the cars they had then...
