Plying Diablo 2 on LAN

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I bought the Diablo 2 battle chest for my kids for Chirstmas. I am not able to play the game as a multiplayer version on the three computers I have networked in my house. Do I need to buy three separate games to run on each computer to do this? That would suck. I have not been able to find an answer to this what seems a common question.

Thanks.

I just setup LAN between two computers For Diablo2:LOD & I Had To Have TWO Copies Of The Game To Play. There's No Way To Start The Game With Out A Copy Of The Expansion Disk In The CD-Rom Drive Of Each Computer. If You Know Of Another Way To Play With Just One Copy. Bring It On!!!

There is actually a way you can play with just 1 CD....but in this case, you can play with 0 CD's....How this works: There is a program called CDspace(CDspace.com, download the demo)...what it does is, it copies an exact copoy of the CD on to your computer, and runs it off of your computer...This is how i play d2...convienent( no CD scratches, preserves CD)

Hope this works

P.S. you will only need 1 Cd key to play LAN( not on battlenet)
you will need x amount of Cd keys to play bnet(depending on how many computer will logon to battlenet...
