win xp U.S.B... reboots system????????

have just built a new system .ie
amd athlon 1700 xp
epox 8kha+
256 ddr mem 266
lian-li case#
g-force 2 mx 400 mx
420 watt power supply..
directx ver 8.1
hard/drive 7400
i have a fault evertime i plug a usb item in it works great
and my computer finds it and sets it up 0.k...
ie joystick ect.. but when i have finished with the game and return back to win xp it rebootes the computer..????
if i unpug the usb item and then return back to win xp
its fine..... ????? HELP.........................................

Check this option:
Control Panel-
System-
Advanced-
Startup & Recovery-
Under "System Failure" uncheck "Automatically Reboot" and check "Send administrative report"
If it is a normal WinXP system crash you should get a "STOP" screen instead. If it still reboots you have some more serious problems with the setup.

i have just received this...... If you have a Viachip you should download the usbfilter driver from
www.viatech.com
i am trying to find it ...................
