The 2002 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is wrapping up today, and all the up-and-coming industry goodies look tasty. CES showcased soon-to-be-released products in just about every field you can think of, from computer hardware and hand-held MP3 players to digital organizers, cell phones, and home entertainment... You name it, it was probably there!

From C|Net News:
This year's show included major additions to the Windows XP operating system and the debut of entertainment start-up Moxi Digital. As was the case last year, one of the dominant themes of the show will be the convergence of computers and consumer electronics devices.
Front and center will be Microsoft's eHome division, which the company formed after last year's CES. Part of the division's mission is to propagate a wide variety of digital devices with Windows, extending the operating system far beyond its desktop roots.

Some of my personal favorites are the Sonicblue Rio Riot MP3 player and the Phillips Wide-Screen HDTV. Now if only my paychecks matched my electronics appetite...

For a quick-and-dirty rundown of C|Net's favorites, check out their Electronics Reviews. They also have several general discussions of industry trends. Looks like this will be a good year for electronics!
