But heres the deal, when it comes to Broodwars, and Windows XP, i understand they dont get along very well. Is there anything can do to fix this? I cant connect to any games, cause it says my latency to the creator is to high, and when i click on join game, every game i have 6 red to. I know there is a way to fix this, people have told me about it but they didnt know perticurally how to fix it. Thanks to anyone who replies to this forum. Oh ya, i am also using a NETGEAR web safe router, and that might hae something to do with it.
Thanks for your help.

Try downloading Net Per Sec it tells you your current
kbits and your average or you can download Fast Net connection Accelerator both you can download off
http://www.download.com
If that doesn't help, somethings wrong with your Cable connection

RedTempest,
Take a look at this thread.
Gunslinger says it works. I couldn't get it to work.
I don't really think there is a fix until Blizzard updates the client software.

I tried what Gunslinger said - didn't work so hot
I really think it has to do with the amount of users b.net has at the time because whenever the server is hella busy everything gets all plugged up and slow and everyone seems to have 6 red bars but i downloaded some accelerator programs it helped, I shit you not.
but it might just be my computer.

I don't know what the deal is with that.
It doesn't seem to be working for a lot more people now, but as soon as I did it, it worked perfectly on my machine.
Could be some grapevine effects of changing that setting. Who knows?
