Gigabyte 7vtxe kt266A board

Inadvertantly flashed with wrong bios (ami)

7vtx_f6 instaed of 7vtx_f5 -- dual bios not performing to complete boot

removing battery does not zero the bios - does anyone know how to clear the bios or force the system to boot to the backup bios?

also checking through gigabyte support - but slow

Isn't there some jumper to choose which BIOS it uses to boot?
Do you still have the manual for it?

BIOS is normally flash memory. Removing the battery has no effect.

If the vendor doesn't have a program and procedure that you can get, you may have totally wiped this motherboard.

I just downloaded the manual for it, it says that if you left it at the default settings, it should automaticly detect that your BIOS is defective and use the backup BIOS.

Is there anything at all coming on your screen?
