Write Protection on a CD-RW ?

Here's the question. It's just for information.

Is there really any way I can "write protect" a CD-RW to where it cannot be formatted? I know it sounds "strange" but I was just wondering. I've been reading at CD-Rom Guide

I'm just wondering if there was a way, so I could use a CD-RW for Data exchange from one system to another, without the risk of someone formatting the disc.

I've read where it's possible, but nothing has given me any information in how to do this.

I'm looking for something that possible "format protects" a CD-RW with say, a password or something, though I'm doubting thier existance.

Never heard of something like that and since the burn progs just delete the whole disk or just the TOC, I wouldn't know how that would be possible either.

Well, I read something about a software program, but that "has" to be ran in windows, and multiple users wouldn't have it.... Hmm, just gonna have to take chances ehehehe

Well, I don't want to waste a massive pile of CD's for just a 12 computer set.. eheheh
