Isn't this site for tech support?

Not compaining or anything like that, but I find most members of OTS browse the General/Off Topic section more often than any other. Just wanna know how u feel abt it.

Posted by: Bishop

I'm sure I could answer this question, but someone else could probably answer it in a way you'd understand.

Posted by: Kdr Kane

I look at all new posts. Do you need tech support?

Posted by: Kdr Kane

You should read more About Us.

I think that will answer your question.

Open Tech Support serves as both a community and a sanctuary, a place to go to for answers. A place to share ideas and help other people.

I guess I can be sure i can get help when i need it, and no, i don't need tech support...yet.

Posted by: Canis Lupus

Open Tech Support's main goal is helping people. Which is why the support and resource forums have been raised above the discussion forums.

But General Discussions are always supposed to elicit more posts than any other forums (just go to any other site/forum on the net, and see if you can find a "general discussion" forum that does not have more posts than any other forum within the site).

OTS members browse the General/Off Topic forum more because there are more accessible posts there, plain and simple. Those who are not well versed in software will not visit the software forum as often, nor do hardcore pc gamers try to visit the console forum. Since there is a General discussion forum that can accomodate any views, technology-related or not, it naturally gets visited the most...

Better Believe It!!

Posted by: Bishop

please do not use the word "hardcore".

It offends me.

Posted by: Canis Lupus

hardcore!

Posted by: Bishop

When speaking about porn or insane idiocies involving hanging from a burning building by a gasoline soaked rope, hardcore applies.

To people sitting around tapping at a keyboard or controller, it does not.

GOOD DAY SIR!

Posted by: Lord_Buttplug

Did someone say PORN?

Hardcore programming! How about that?

Think I might be up for that tomorrow night. A good ol' fashioned all nighter.

Posted by: Bishop

Well, you know what I mean.

Posted by: SKYHN

HEY! All Xbox Gamers are "Hardcore Gamers"! Just remember that!

Thank you ZeRo_MaXwInG for asking your question for all "we newbies"

I realize it's a drag writing my name. Just refer to me as Zero.

Hehe sorry Bishy ... I was just referring to the actual definition of hardcore:

http://www.dictionary.com/cgi-bin/dict.pl?term=hardcore

I guess the one you are referring to is the third definition in that link...

It's always been there Ellie ... Good to know you finally found it, hehe

Posted by: Bishop

No, the first two were what I meant.

Any idiot who calls themselves a "hardcore gamer" in my presence shall be shot.

Halfwits have corrupted the meaning of the word to where the word itself is a flaw.

Posted by: Canis Lupus

Hehe yeah ... sorry, had to delete the names, otherwise they won't have a reason to look in the ABOUT US section

Posted by: EOT(US)

My Sig came from something I use to say alot. Something about "This blows goats". I just evolved it to it's next level of sophistication.

Posted by: ZeRo_MaXwInG

win nuke?

Posted by: Kdr Kane

winnuke - an old hacker program that allowed script kiddies to blue-screen somebody else's computer. It's useless now.
