256 ddr mem 266
lian-li case#
g-force 2 mx 400 mx
420 watt power supply..
directx ver 8.1
hard/drive 7400
I have a hercules g-force 2mx 400.
all the games work ok except for flight sim.2002. after reinstalling several times the flight sim. runs great until i try to return to windows xp. i get blue screen error alcxwdm.sys f965cf59 base at f962booo datestamp 3628910a
driver _irql-not-less-or-equal. after rebooting computer flight sim will not run.and says not responding. i have been in touch with hercules themselves and they tell me not to use nvidia drivers.only to use hercules sight drivers but when i try to delete nvidia drivers and install hercules windows keeps installing the nvidia drivers. has anyone had similar faults? IS it the video card or windows xp?
is it time to go back to win.98 se. which seemed a lot more stable and not so masterfull..........

I think its the Video card, i never had a problem like that but i've never had a problem with windows xp either.

Shouldn't this be in software?

If that's the only program that is giving you problems, then it is probably the game itself. Run Windows update. I think they released a software compatability update already for Windows XP. It might address your particuliar issue.
As for the driver you're using, I don't think using the nVidia reference drivers hurt at all. Especially if you're using the WHQL drivers.

Downlaod the new Nvidia Detonator XP drivers for windows XP and try those. The nvidia drivers always seem to be alot better then the crappy manufacturer drivers.

I agree with Ion. It's the Flight Simulator program causing your problems.
Run it in compatibility mode.
