scsi problem

I have an older Seagate 50 pin SCSI harddrive that refuses to mount on startup. I have a MacIntosh 7500...it has a 1 gig and a 4.5 gig harddrive. It's the 4.5 Seagate giving me grief. It will mount when I use "Drive setup" application and will stay up as long as i restart...If I shutdown, it's gone upon startup. I've tried 1) changing ID number 2) Disk First Aid 3) Removing 1 GIG harddrive and using it's power & ribbon cable. It runs fine once it's up though...I have as OS on it that it will boot from (until I shut down anyhow). It seems to have trouble spinning up...I would appreciate any help.

This really sounds like a software problem.

I don't think you are going to get much help for a MAC OS on this site.

Sorry. Wish I could help you more.
