I just took 2 case fans out of my comp and replaced my CPU fan with another one that makes hardly any sound at all... finally the silence is back, this really makes alot of difference 
It got a little warmer inside my case though, with SETI and a few FTP clients running now, it's 57ºC/134ºF but I can live with that.

I'd rather have a riot going on inside my case. My CPU never gets hotter than 35/95.
