Sometimes I also get excerption errors, but not as frequent as the error above. I don't know what's wrong. Please Help.

I went through the site and followed the instruction. I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I don't seem to have the error anymore . The bad news is that now, when im in a multiplayer game on bnet with other people, I don't last on the game for more than 1 minute. I get an error like this:

Errors/Crashes/Exits to Windows
Some programs constantly run in the background of the Windows desktop. When Diablo II tries to run at full screen, it can conflict with these programs and cause several problems, including Unhandled Exception errors, random freezes, increased LAG and/or the game to exit to Windows. Before starting Diablo II, try closing all applications running in the background.
How to Close Programs running in the background:
Hold down the CNTRL, ALT, & DELETE keys at the same time. This will bring up the "Close Program" window.
Highlight and click END TASK on all the programs (except Systray and Explorer). You will have to do this one program at a time.
These programs will restart when you reboot your computer. You should do this each time before you play Diablo II
How to Modify your Startup Files (Windows 98) :
Click START, RUN, then type "msconfig" and push ENTER.
Select the STARTUP tab
Uncheck all the boxes and click OK.
When the "System Settings Change" window appears, click OK to restart the computer.
Note: To start these prgrams again, all you need to do is run "msconfig", recheck the boxes, and reboot your computer.
How to Modify your Startup Files (Windows 95/98/98SE) :
Download and Install the program TweakAll
Run TweakAll and look for a tab that says " RUN PROGRAMS "
Here you will see a list of all programs that run silently in the background on your computer each time you start up.
Follow the instructions listed to delete unnessary programs from this list.
Note: If your unsure if a program is important or not, DON'T remove it ! Once these programs are removed from the list, you will have to manually put them back into the list. They will not be restored when rebooting as they are when you simply CTRL+ALT+DELETE on progs. If you are uncomfortable with altering these settings, don't do it, just use the CTRL+ALT+DELETE option explained at the top of this page to close unnecessary programs instead.
Hope this helps.

This is all I can find on that error.
Blizzard's Official Fix
Fixes for the c0000005 error
Uninstall Diablo II using the Diablo II uninstaller, located in your Diablo II program group on the Windows Start button.
Run a thorough scandisk and a defrag of your hard drive(s). To do this, click on "Start", then "run", then type "scandisk" in the box and click on OK. Follow the prompts and select "Thorough" scandisk and let it run. This will tell you if there are any problems on the hard disk. Then click on "Start" then "run", and type "defrag". Follow the prompts to defrag your hard drive. You should disable your screen saver and Power Management features before you scandisk or defrag. Sometimes windows will restart the defragmentation and/or scandisk if your screen saver or power management kicks in.
Now reinstall Diablo II, then download and install the latest Diablo2 patch
Update your Video Drivers - If you still get any errors, you should try updating your video and sound card drivers. This is the most common fix for most errors. Even if you are sure that your drivers are up to date, you should double check by visiting the manufacturer's website. If you have any video card that offers 3d accelleration, you can also check 3Dchipset for the most current drivers. If you find that you do indeed have the most current sound and video card drivers, reinstall them. It is free, and it might solve your problem.
If you still get errors, please send us the following information at support@blizzard.com :
Your operating system and version (windows 98 second edition, Windows NT SP5, etc...)
Your processor type and speed.
How much RAM your system has.
Video and sound card model and manufacturer and driver versions.
Attach any d2debug.txt & d2<date>.txt files you find in your Diablo II folder.
Attach the msinfo file.
Please provide as much detail as possible about exactly what you were doing when the error happened so we can try to reproduce it.
* Also try this Blizzard games allways had problems when extra programs where running so you might wanna try this.
for Windows 98:
Click start, run, then type " msconfig " and push enter.
Select the Startup tab, Uncheck all the boxes and click OK.
When the " System Settings Change " window appears, click OK to restart the computer.
Note: To start these programs again all you need to do is run "msconfig", recheck the boxes, and reboot your computer.
Last but not least: checked to make sure Fog Emulation is on.
