first of all I like the new layout.

Second I am getting a new modem but....I run windows ME and most modems say they are compatible with 95 and 98 and I am wondering will they work on ME?

Also any sites that you all recommend for shopping for good modems?

Are you talking about 56K Dial up modems, or Cable modems?

Its dial-up 56k I am looking for.

Most modems that work with 95/98 should work with ME. Cable or ADSL modems on the other hand should work also but check with the service provider first. Sometimes, cable or ADSL requires different software drivers or whatnot to work with ME. Usually, the company will require that you tell them what OS your running so that the install technician will arrive at your doorstep with the proper hardware/software.

Since your able to log onto the net, why don't you go over to the modem manufacturer's web site and see in their FAQ or support section if there is an ME driver needed for your new modem to work in the ME environment.

any modem that runs in w9x will run in WinMe <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> even if it has Win95 drivers only it will run adequeately for a 56k in WinMe. the only time u would have a real problem is if ur in win2k
