It would be very useful if there was an area on this site were we could post items up for sale.
I am sure nochex would throw dosh your way...
Just an idea, I understand you don't need the hassle of all the legalities involved with a e-commerece site.
Maybe if they are selling on e-bay you could allow links to he auction..

Good suggestion, although it would probably be too out of scope for the site ... but of course it is possible to implement it if enough people ask for it.
Although, as you mentioned, the legalities of allowing auctions within the forums might compromise the site - and the last thing I want to deal with are complaints about money matters in a non-profit site...

I dont think an ebay type situation would be the greatest of ideas...Seen too many other boards that have a trading area and members start to get ripped off... its bogus.
While I dont think it should be the focus, or even a large portion of the site... I think it would be great if members can trade/sell parts, with both parties carrying out their end of the deal.

How about a "For Sale" section? I always have thought this would be a good idea  .... then the people that are interested in whatever was offered could get in touch with each other ... via email or on the the OTS Open forum? :-)

Yea I think this would work. As long a people didn't abuse the system. I think we are all responsible OTS members and it should work well.

I don't. Having a bartering area or forum will do nothing to benifit what we are all about. Gaming and tech support. Also, there's plenty of other places to sell and trade at. And you'll get better bids most likely.

yeah ive had this same idea- hearing about ppl haveing mad ram hdd's n other parts just lyeing around collecting dust makes me wanna have this kinda forum lol itd be great
