Flaws found in PHP scripting language

A member of the PHP engineering team has warned that a couple of serious flaws have been found in the PHP language. One of the flaws may even allow malicious users to crash Apache Servers that are running PHP. The attack is reportedly something that would not be very easy for the average hacker or even the experienced hacker. The PHP engineering team recommends that all users upgrade to the latest version of Apache and the latest version of PHP, which solves the problem, 4.1.2.

A handful of holes appear in different versions of PHP, a scripting language that can be installed on many different Web servers--including Apache, Microsoft's Internet Information Server and iPlanet--allowing them to create Web pages on the fly from a database of information.
