Showers

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Blackknight

I thought this could be an interesting preference in poeple's lifestyles and choices....

Posted by: Gerbilo

well... today i went out to shovel then showered... arg.. stupid snow!

Posted by: redwench

for some reason, you left out the "whenever i feel like it" option.

Posted by: Tweaker

Every morning, and sometimes also at night.

How about asking whats the longest anyone has gone without a shower? If anyone here was in the service and went to the field, then they know what I'm talking about.

Posted by: AK47

hell, I go weeks without and I'm not in the service.

like george carlin says: A shower every day is overkill. Just be sure to wash the four main areas- armpits, a**hole, teeth and crotch. Save time and use the same brush on each area.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tip Of The Day!

HOW TO SHOWER LIKE A WOMAN:

1. Take off clothing and place it in sectioned laundry hamper
according to lights and darks.
2. Walk to bathroom wearing long dressing gown. If you see
your husband along the way, cover up any exposed
areas.
3. Look at your womanly physique in the mirror, make
mental note-must do more sit- ups.
4. Get in the shower. Use face cloth, arm cloth, leg cloth,
long loofah, wide loofah and pumice stone.
5. Wash your hair once with Cucumber and Sage shampoo
with 43 added vitamins.
6. Wash your hair again to make sure it's clean.
7. Condition your hair with Grapefruit Mint conditioner
enhanced with natural avacado oil. Leave on hair for
fifteen minutes.
8. Wash your face with crushed apricot facial scrub for ten
minutes until red.
9. Wash entire rest of body with Ginger Nut and Jaffa Cake
body wash.
10. Rinse conditioner off hair (you must make sure that it
has all come off).
11. Shave armpits and legs. Consider shaving bikini area but
decide to get it waxed instead.
12. Scream loudly when your husband flushed the toilet and
you lose the water pressure.
13. Turn off shower.
14. Squeegee off all wet surfaces in shower. Spray mold
spots with Tilex.
15. Get out of shower. Dry with towel the size of a small
country. Wrap hair in super absorbent second towel.
16. Check entire body for the remotest sign of a zit, tweeze
hairs.
17. Return to bedroom wearing long dressing gown and
towel on head.
18. If you see your husband along the way, cover up any
exposed areas and then sashay to bedroom to spend an
hour and a half getting dressed

HOW TO SHOWER LIKE A MAN:

1. Take off clothes while sitting on the edge of the bed and
leave them in a pile.
2. Walk naked to the bathroom. If you see your wife along
the way, shake wiener at her making the "woo-woo" sound.
3. Look at your manly physique in the mirror and suck in
your gut to see if you have pecs (no). Admire the size of
your wiener in the mirror and scratch your ass.
4 Get in the shower.
5. Don't bother to look for a washcloth (you don't use one).
6. Wash your face.
7. Wash your armpits.
8. Blow your nose in your hands, then let the water just rinse
it off.
9. Crack up at how loud your fart sounds in the shower.
10. Majority of time is spent washing your privates and
surrounding area.
11. Wash your butt, leaving those coarse butt hairs on the
soap bar.
12. Shampoo your hair (do not use conditioner).
13. Make a shampoo Mohawk.
14. Peek out of shower curtain to look at yourself in the
mirror again.
15. Pee (in the shower).
16. Rinse off and get out of the shower. Fail to notice water
on the floor because you left the curtain hanging out of
the tub the whole time.
17. Partially dry off.
18. Look at yourself in the mirror, flex muscles. Admire
wiener size again.
19. Leave shower curtain open and wet bath mat on the
floor.
20. Leave bathroom fan and light on.
21. Return to the bedroom with towel around your waist. If
you pass your wife, pull off the towel, shake wiener at
her, and make the "woo-woo" sound again.
22. Throw wet towel on the bed. Take 2 minutes to get
dressed.

Posted by: Swilo

So where would my vote go?

No Chako, what is strange is AK47 hehe

Posted by: Blackknight

What is even stranger is the fact that all people love file planet, or as I like to call it, h4x0r planet!

Posted by: Spork Lover

I leave my home within 20 minutes of waking up... shower is what makes that possible

Posted by: Shalome

What about mid-afternoons? I usually wake up between 2 and 4PM and shower then...

Posted by: Xtren

I take a shower in the evening usually. Then again sometimes I take it in the morning and sometimes I take it twice a day.

Posted by: Pepsi-Man[OTS]

well i agree you should have put in a when ever i feel like it check i usually shower when ever im not doing anything could be at 10am to like 2 am to 7 pm hehe any time for me if fine.

Posted by: Gerbilo

hehehe

Too feking true.

My wife just rolls her eyes now....

Posted by: Gunslinger

I wake up 5 minutes before my first class. That does not make morning showers possible.

If I had to apply a time to it, it would be in the evening or after I work out, but more specifically, just when I feel dirty.

Posted by: Gerbilo

I take a long time when I shower... i always think about every event that has ever happened... some think while using the can... I think while in the shower... bizzare huh....

i woke up for school a half hour late last tuesday... that shower was damn fast heheh.

Posted by: Erekose

Hmm, I shower when I have time (so usually after i wake up in the afternoon). I haven't been in the service, but I have been on camping trips (okay so now my father admits he was lost) so I'd say about 2 weeks the longest (but then again everyone else smelled, so you don't really notice)

Posted by: Xtren

It doesn't take me very long to take a shower so since it's not very time-consuming I can take one pretty much whenever I need to.

Posted by: Muggs

shower? wtf is that?

Posted by: PhantomGamer

I shower in the morning, somtimes night, and after sports.

but i voted for morning

I'm too tired to shower in the morning so I shower at night before bed. But I can't find any shampoo.

How to Take a Bath

The stress-ridden society we live in today is just beginning to rediscover some half-forgotten truths about healing our battered physical and emotional being.
There is a healing magic that goes beyond drugs and prescriptions. It involves the strength of plants from the Earth, the water that is a part of all life, and the mineral salts from which our bodies are created. The way to deliver these things to our bodies is through bathing.

Baths are not for getting clean. Showers do that. A bath restores you physically and mentally. It is an opportunity to heal and nurture that marvel of creation which is your body.

We humans are naturally attracted to water. We like to hear it flowing, look at it, float across it and swim in it. Our bodies are made up mostly of water. By itself, water can relax us, relive our stress and pain, and soothe our souls. When we add scent, minerals and herbs to a water-filled tub, it becomes a treatment bath.

The temperature of your bath is very important. Avoid water that is too hot. You need just enough heat to soften the collagen in your joints, muscles and membranes. This will enable the muscles, which are bunched and knotted from overuse or emotional stress to relax and stretch out.

A Hot Bath (104-108 degrees) brings blood to the surface skin area where it is better able to absorb the herbs, minerals and oils added to your bath.

A Warm Bath (100-104 degrees) is a good choice for those with heart conditions. Normal, healthy bodies can withstand the "drag" on the heart muscle created by the dilation of surface blood vessels in a hot bath. Those with heart conditions should lower their bath temperature to "warm."

The duration of the bath should be 20-30 minutes. Be fully immersed or, if your tub is too small, cover exposed parts (except for the head) with a wet towel.

Always drink a full glass of water while you are in the tub. For hot baths, use a cold cloth on the forehead.

Take deep, slow breaths while in the tub to absorb the aromatherapy oils. Then, starting with the toes and ending at the shoulders--tighten each muscle group, hold the tension for a brief moment, then slowly relax. Breathe several times and repeat this light exercise 4-10 times.

Baths get you just as clean as showers cause they both do the same things. You use soap, water, shampoo, and conditionner in both cases. The only difference between the two is that baths are more time-consuming.

I would have to disagree, baths are for soaking and relaxing, taking a shower cleans you better because water sprays off the dirt and down the drain. If I take a bath I'm sitting in dirty water! Not to mention a typical bathtub requires about 30 gallons for a bath. A standard showerhead will flow about 3 gallons per minute. In five minutes, this uses only 15 gallons of water. Bottom line if you want to get clean taking a bath instead of showering, you’re going to use double the water.

You’re not only cleaner but you saved money!

Well heck it's not like your saving a million bucks here, 30 gallons of water isn't going to cost you a fortune, unless you're emptying out water bottles of fresh spring water or something.

Okay, so I'm not the bath and shower expert, sorry to all those unfortunate people that I mislead

Yes, but over a course of a year that could add up! Unless saving money or a natural resource is no interest to you!

I think you're kind of over-reacting here, I mean face it,
WHO CARES IF SHOWERS ARE MORE ECONOMICAL THAN BATHS!!!!!!!!

They are both ways to wash yourself. Just some people take baths instead from time to time doesn't mean they are the type of people that just throw their money away. It's like a PC, which one are you going to buy: A laptop or a normal PC? The laptop is more expensive but you can carry it around and it doesn't take up as much space.

It all depends on who likes what, besides, SOME PEOPLE SPEND MORE THAN FIVE MINUTES IN THE SHOWER! That means that for some people it would be more economical to take a bath than to take a shower.

No, I believe your over-reacting. Lighten up there Xtren I just responded to your post about a shower is no different than a bath. You want to take a bath, take a god-dam bath! Take it in a 500 gal pool!! I could care less!! Also I never said that people who take baths are the kind of people who throw away money! I was just comparing the two in cost!

HAVE A NICE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Xtren

Oooooppppssss

I think I pissed Tweaker off a little bit. I was kidding but I must say that was a pretty funny reaction

Anyway, about that 500 gal pool.........

Posted by: Tweaker

It's been a long day, I think I'll take a bath and soak.

Posted by: Bobaroo

Baths are nice after a hard track practice. It feels so nice on my sore muscles.

I think I need to take a bath now

Posted by: Muggs

Baths are for little girls and what the hell would you do in a shower for more than 5-10 minutes?

no wait dont tell me

Posted by: redwench

um, lets list, shall we:

wash hair twice
condition hair
shave legs and other interesting parts
exfoliate body
rinse hair
wash body

takes more than 10 min.

Just reading Red's post makes me want to stay in the shower!

Posted by: Xtren

You can get really tired out from all that. Showers are also for a little bit of relaxation. I'm fine off washing myself once.

Posted by: Gerbilo

just hop in the toilet and flush.

Not all of us can fit in that small space! Don't you think it would be just the tiny bit cramped in there?

you could probably find a large toilet!
