How to remove a network in XP

I created TWO networks that are the same just one is labeled MShome and the other is WORKGROUPS! How can I get rid of one of them?

You probably have more than one computer on your network, and if so, one or more is set to WORKGROUPS while one or more is set to MSHOME.

Open My Network Places > Network Tasks: View workgroup computers > Other Places: Microsoft Windows Network.

If you see WORKGROUPS and MSHOME listed, then all of your computers are not set up to use the same workgroup.

In XP, you can change your workgroup name by hitting the Windows key + Pause/Break > Computer Name tab > Change... > Member of.

Having different workgroup names shouldn't prevent you from browsing the network, but having them all the same would alleviate any confusion.
