Well our parish school system is being audited bt MS....Which means we are going to have to pay a biiig fine and...By an open liscense for XP. Which also means that most of our school computers will have to be tossed cause they can not or ever will be able to run XP....
We're thinking about installing linux on everything before they get here.

Just out of wonder... you make it sound illegal. But could it just be that your school isnt getting the license for a previous version of windows renewed because microsoft wont renew them, and is forcing the xp upgrade?

I did not say it sucked....and our school parish does deserve it.
I just install it myself. I have nothing to do with weather it hasa liscens or not....The tech ppl from our parish call us. Tell us too build 20 win98 machines and that the parts will be there next week...So we do.

When I worked with the "Technology Coordinator" at my school over the summer we had many discussions on topics similar to this hehehe.
