ive been seeing a brief statement about and link to a petition on the userfriendly website for a while now. the petition is directed at game manufacturers, and is asking them to place captioning as an option or standard in the dialog portions of games.
while the petition is on behalf of hearing impaired persons, this benefits all of us. ever tried playing some games with the sound off? without captioning, it can be irritating if you need to hear what was said.
so even if your hearing is perfect, consider signing the petition. it benefits everyone.

Any developer that doesn't put captioning is just stupid anyway.

Just for the record, no one cares about online petitions.
