How the hell can this woman still be considered HUMAN?
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tm...and_run_death_7
The St. Louis news station was so depressing tonight.. this story, a story about a man who shook his baby to death, a story about a priest convicted of child molestation and a local priest who was busted for child porn, a man arrested for criminal neglect and abuse of like 60 kittens and puppies (he was an animal breeder -- and yes i KNOW that story's not even remotely in the same realm as the human tragedies...)
And then they follow it all with a story about the upcoming "boxing" match between Tonya Harding and Paula Jones..
I f---ing hate what passes for civilization sometimes. What the hell is WRONG with people?!?!?!

id like to know what her friends were thinking when they agreed to help her hide this. better yet, whod want to be friends with her?
this woman is obviously insane. she needs to be locked up.

Yeah. This is in my neck of the woods. I've been hearing about this story all day yesterday and today. The version I've been hearing differs in that this man was stuck in the windshield for at least two or three days before he bled to death.
The other big story around here is a 70 mile police chase that ended in Oklahoma when the man that stole a RAM pickup truck bashed a small van with 3 people. He repeatedly hit the van and killed one of the passengers. He left a string of bashed cars along the highway as he knocked them off the road. He was under the influence of drugs also.

if you must do drugs, dont drive

I heard about the incident last night on the news.
I don't think she is human. But then, there are countless hit and runs all the time. These people will run over someone and keep going so that they can get away with it...often times to leave the injured to die by the side of the road from their wounds.
In my eyes, there isn't much different between the two behaviors.
This one shocked the most because it seems more personal and up front then the others. A fine distinction.

The tipster said Mallard drove home, had sex with her boyfriend, then went back to the garage to find Biggs still alive, according to the arrest warrant affidavit.
Mallard later told investigators she apologized to the victim when she returned to the garage several times, but she never called for help as he moaned and pleaded with her, according to the affidavit.

If that's not deranged, I don't know what is.

I am going to puke for real. That is ****ing ....INHUMANE
But then this was pretty graphic and hundreds of people die in Afghanistan everyday, in operation anaconda. I guess its different when they're just numbers.

There is a DIFFERENCE between running over some stranger, dragging him to your closed garage, refusing him aid, watching him die slowly, and then disposing of the body with a bunch of friends, or going off to a war where the other side is more then willing to kill you with their weapons.
Those who join the military do so with the knowledge that they may be ordered to kill for their country, and to die for is also.
Men/women in uniforms do show compassion, and are not the monsters some people may think they are.
For instance, there was an incident during WW1 at Christmas, when both sides came out and had a drink in no mans land. There are innumerable acts of heroism when troops risked their own lives to save the life of someone on the other side. Medics on any side will risk theirs for anyone in need.
Likewise, with these acts of human kindness, there are acts of brutality as well...but then that is the duality of war.
This women is not human, and should get the full measure of the law for showing that she is a danger to society as a whole.

well thanks, guess i needed that. was just starting to think the world wasnt such a bad place after all. i think ima go watch a disney movie or something now. and chako, thanks for saying that which i am to inarticulate to say. and people ask me why i dont watch the news on tv get get the paper.
-- oh, and by the way, i believe it was belleau wood in ww2 where both sides sang 'silent night' (albeit in there native tongue). things like that remind you that the guy in the other uniform is a man just the same as you, and given different circumstances, may have been friends.
