XP - DirectX 8.1 - Not Found...

Okay, Im not sure if this is a problem on XP's behalf, or on WarCraft 3. So ill post in XP forum.
I played WC3 perfectly, everyday for the past week.
Just now, I double clicked on the war3 icon, and I get this error.
warcraft 3 was unable to initialize directx. please ensure you have directx 8.1 or newer installed
Um, I run dxdiag and i have 8.1
any help please?
