Will Creative Wave Studio work with a Soundblaster PCI 128?
I need to do some heavy .wav editing and recording and Im pretty familiar with Wave Studio. I dont know though if my card is compatable with it. Im "borrowing" a friends Soundblaster Live Disc and it has the studio on it.

Install it and try it, you'll know fast enough if it works or not

Well I dont wanna screw up something. The other day I went to update my sound card drivers and had dozens of problems. Nothing I couldnt fix but it was a big inconvience and took me an hour to fix.

wave studio is not dependant on your sound card, just your CPU, RAM, and HDD. You could run it without a sound card installed, but that would be silly.

Ok, Ill install it then. I thought though that because it came with the better soundblaster cards that it was dependant on them but I guess its just a pricing issue.

You're wrong Swilo, some versions of wavestudio only run with specific soundcards.

That's probably because they want a certain hardware buffer, but it should work on any PCI creative card.
