problemo with IE and ads

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Ok, from what people are telling me my problem deals with 3rd party software. My problem: on IE certain words get underlined with an annoying thick orange line, and i can click on the word and go to a page selling that word. (For example The word VCR brings you to a site that sells...you guessed it...VCRs, or a not common word like erroneous brings you to a dictionary site to look it up) I want to know if any of you know what programs do this, and how to get rid of it. I suspect possible kazaa or limewire, maybe winamp, i dunno, any clues?

Sounds like spyware to me.

This will find and remove all spyware from your system.

Sounds like you may have installed "webHancer agent," I forget if it comes with kazaa or real player, but either way you're screwed. Maybe AdAware can deal with it.

AdAware should have told you what the program was that was doing it. Feel like sharing?
