Every time I want to use Photoshop (on a comp with Win98, latest service pack, 256meg RAM, P3 processor), I have to reinstall it. If I don't, I get this error:
PHOTOSHP caused an invalid page fault in
module COOLTYPE.DLL at 017f:00a9bb00.

I can't get Acrobat Reader to run either.. it used to work, until I installed Photoshop. Now I get this error when I try to run Acrobat Reader:
ACRORD32 caused an invalid page fault in
module MSVCRT.DLL at 017f:78010a12.

PS - I've tried uninstall/reinstall of both programs, I've tried installing one but not the other, I've tried installing different versions of Acrobat Reader.. am I just screwed?

Hmmm, try these steps:
1.) If you have any extra fonts on your computer, try backing them up and remove them from the system - only leave the default ones that Windows comes preinstalled with.
2.) If that doesn't work, then you need a new Cooltype.dll file to overwrite the one you have in your Adobe Photoshop folder (all adobe apps use a cooltype.dll file)... try downloading a recent one I have here.
3.) If that doesn't work, then try uninstalling all your adobe applications and reinstall them again. Try Adobe Acrobat Reader first, and if that works, install Photoshop and copy the cooltype.dll from Acrobat if Photoshop shows you the same error...
4.) Hopefully this will also solve the msvcrt.dll error in Acrobat...
Hope this helps...
